I know doing a boudoir shoot can be scary for so many reasons. Some women feel insecure about their bodies. Some women worry about being photographed in an intimate way. But the biggest reason I hear is that women think they cannot look like the women in my portfolio.
When women tell me they do not look like the “models” on my website.
First of all, yes you do! And secondly. The “models” on my website are not models at all. They are everyday women just like you. They are mamas, teachers, nurses, waitresses, cashiers, technicians, and a multitude of other professions. They did not have an inkling of how to be a model before walking in my door. That is what my job is for, to show you how to rock out a session and be a supermodel for the day.
I will show you every single pose.
You do not need to worry about how to pose because I am going to show you what to do even down to how to point your toes. Have you ever had your photos taken by someone and felt awkward because you didn’t know what to do with your hands? Well, I have that covered too and will show you how to pose your hands. I cannot reiterate enough you have zero to worry about. I got you!
It is human nature to compare ourselves to others.
I so wish I could help every woman understand the comparison game is so overrated. Mostly because we are comparing ourselves to someone else’s best of images. We doom scroll on social media and see everyone’s best-of version of themselves. This is why I love when women do a boudoir shoot for themselves so they can see with their own eyes their very best version without the need to compare to someone else.
The next time you are scrolling social or looking through websites and see other women looking fabulous, remind yourself that they are just like you and right at that very moment are probably sitting in yoga pants and a t-shirt with a messy bun having a similar day as yours. As women, we are more similar than not and we honestly shouldn’t compare our journey to someone else’s because we are also very unique.
Why do the women on my website look like models?
I am a professional boudoir photographer with years of experience in photographing women. I know how to pose all body types and how to help women feel comfortable and confident in front of my camera. It is my goal to make every woman that I photograph feel and look like a model. If you are ready to be a supermodel for the day contact me to set up your photo session.
