What to wear or not to wear – boudoir

Figuring out what to wear or not to wear for your boudoir photo session can be daunting. But don’t stress because I am here to share not only encouragement but tips on how to prepare for the most amazing experience you can dream of.

The Rules

There are no rules when it comes to getting dressed for a boudoir photo session. You don’t have to wear clothes or be naked or topless. You can (and should) do whatever you feel most comfortable with. Your outfit, or lack thereof, should reflect your personality.

Finding confidence

If you feel uncomfortable, the photos will show that; on the flip side, if you feel attractive, even a typically basic outfit will come off as seductive and alluring. Take your time and decide what makes you feel the best. All in all this shoot might be for him but you will be the one to most benefit from your sexy photos if you truly love what you see.

Choosing outfits

Simple bra and panty sets are great and so are strappy complicated nighties. Bralettes are super cute paired with a string panty. The more variety in your lingerie the more photo choices you will have. Have fun with your outfit choices and jewelry. (yes, don’t forget jewelry, more on that in a minute) You can choose bright colors and even be super wild by wearing mismatched bras and panties. Wear your favorite pair of cowgirl boots and a cowgirl hat or if you think your guy would love you in a nurse’s outfit – go for it!
