If your wedding is coming up sooner, don’t automatically assume it’s too late. Reach out and ask about available dates and product timelines. Depending on your schedule and the options available, we may still be able to create something beautiful.
I also recommend avoiding the final week or two before your wedding whenever possible. Between final fittings, family arrivals, appointments, and last-minute details, those days can become incredibly busy. Your boudoir session should be something you look forward to enjoying, not another stressful item on your wedding checklist.
What Should You Wear for Bridal Boudoir Photography?
Choosing your bridal boudoir wardrobe is one of the most enjoyable parts of planning your session. While white lingerie is a classic choice, you certainly aren’t limited to wearing white. One of my favorite bridal looks is a beautiful robe worn over delicate lingerie. The fabric adds softness and movement, creating a romantic, editorial feeling. A simple white button-down shirt can also be incredibly beautiful, especially when paired with elegant lighting and thoughtful posing.

One thing I generally recommend leaving out is your actual wedding dress. You want to keep that beautiful gown a surprise for your wedding day, and there’s no need to risk wrinkles or damage before the ceremony. Bridal boudoir photographs can feel wonderfully bridal without including the dress itself.
Should You Wear Your Wedding Lingerie?

What Happens During a Bridal Boudoir Session?
If you’ve never experienced boudoir photography before, you might be wondering what the session is actually like. I promise you don’t need to know how to pose or have any modeling experience. Most of the women I photograph have never done anything like this before, and guiding you is a big part of my job.
Before your session, you’ll receive my Beauty Prep Guide with suggestions for wardrobe, skincare, and preparing for your photoshoot. On the day of your session, you’ll enjoy professional hair and makeup, which is included in my Couture Boudoir collections.
While you’re being pampered, we’ll talk about your outfits and the different looks you’d like to create. Some brides arrive feeling excited and confident, while others have a few butterflies. Both are completely normal, and there’s no pressure to feel a particular way.
Once we begin photographing, I’ll guide you through every pose. I’ll help you with the placement of your hands, the angle of your chin, the position of your legs, and all those little details that make a photograph beautiful. Sometimes I’ll even demonstrate poses myself, which usually gives us something to laugh about.

Do You Have to Be Comfortable Wearing Lingerie?
Not at all! I think one of the biggest misconceptions about boudoir photography is that you need to feel completely comfortable showing your body before booking a session.
Many women arrive with insecurities, and that’s perfectly normal. Some are self-conscious about their stomach, while others worry about their arms, thighs, or the way they’ll look in certain poses. I hear these concerns all the time, and I want you to know that you can talk to me about them.
Beautiful boudoir photography doesn’t require showing a lot of skin. We can create romantic, sensual photographs using beautiful robes, oversized shirts, soft fabrics, and thoughtful posing. Your comfort level will always help guide the photographs we create.
I also don’t believe you need to lose weight or reach a certain dress size before booking. You’re getting married to someone who loves you as you are, and I hope you’ll allow yourself to appreciate this beautiful chapter of your life without putting unnecessary pressure on your appearance.
How Do You Choose Your Bridal Boudoir Photographs?
After your session, you’ll receive access to a private online gallery where you can view your photographs and select your favorites. This is often one of the most exciting parts of the experience because you finally get to see the images we’ve created together.
Your preview photographs are low-resolution and unretouched, allowing you to make your selections before final editing. Professional retouching is included for the images you choose as part of your collection.
Some brides know immediately which photographs they want in their albums, while others have a difficult time narrowing down their favorites. If you need help choosing, I’m always happy to offer guidance. I love helping create a collection that includes a beautiful mixture of romantic portraits, editorial images, and personal details.
You’ll have 30 days to make your gallery selections, but if you’re working toward a wedding deadline, I recommend choosing your images as soon as possible. That gives us more time to finalize your album and prepare it for production.

At Couture Boudoir®, your images are never shared publicly without your explicit written permission. That includes photographs where your face isn’t visible. I never assume that because someone has booked a boudoir session, she’s comfortable having her images displayed on my website or social media.
Some brides are excited to share a few photographs after the wedding, while others want their images to remain completely private. Both choices are respected, and I offer privacy agreements for women who would like additional reassurance.
Your photographs are stored privately, and you can ask about your options for having images deleted. Whether you’re planning a surprise gift or simply prefer to keep your experience personal, your privacy matters.
How Much Does Bridal Boudoir Photography Cost?
Bridal boudoir photography prices vary depending on the photographer’s experience, the services included, and the finished products you choose. Some photographers offer short sessions with a small number of digital images, while others provide a more comprehensive experience that includes professional styling, multiple outfits, and custom albums.
At Couture Boudoir®, my luxury boudoir collections begin at $2,500. My Bridal Collection is $4,900 and includes a 90-minute photography session, three outfits, and an 8×8 album featuring 30 images, along with professional hair and makeup.
I believe it’s important to understand the full investment before booking, particularly when you’re planning a wedding and managing so many other expenses. I offer different collection options because every woman has her own priorities when it comes to photography and finished products.
