One of my favorite things to do is location scout. All of my boudoir sessions are shot on location at boutique hotels, B&B’s and other various unique locations.
You can imagine my excitement when I found this gorgeous boutique hotel with a French style Toile De Jouy room in Munich Germany.
Toile de Jouy”, sometimes abbreviated to simply “toile”, is a type of decorating pattern consisting of a white or off-white background on which a repeated pattern depicting a fairly complex scene, generally of a pastoral theme such as a couple having a picnic by a lake or an arrangement of flowers. Toile is most associated with fabrics (curtains and upholstery in particular, especially chintz), though toile wallpaper is also popular.
I adore all types of locations from traditional to modern but I must say I found this style room to be so romantic and perfect for boudoir. (Charlotte ladies, I know of a very similar location if you like this look)
I am a U.S. Based photographer shooting in Europe twice a year. I will be in Europe for July and August 2016 and am currently booking sessions in London, Paris, Munich and am open to other various locations. Email me for information and rates.
