I love hearing what my clients thought about their photo sessions. This beautiful woman was such a joy to work with and it makes my heart so happy to hear she had a great time and loves her photos. Here is what she had to say…
“I was a little nervous when I first arrived for my boudoir photoshoot. I had never done anything like this before, and I wasn’t sure what to expect. Critsey, and her stylist, however, were very professional and made me feel at ease right away. She walked me through the process step by step and answered all of my questions. She even showed me some examples of before and after retouching to give me an idea of what the final photos might look like. And honestly, my photos did not need much retouching but more on that later.
I absolutely loved my hair and makeup. I was really nervous about this part because I do not wear makeup on an everyday occasion. However, Sissy did some magic and made me look glamorous and natural all at the same time. I wish I would have planned a date night or something after my shoot because it was sad to look that good with nowhere to go. Not to mention I was feeling pretty spicy to boot!
As the photoshoot got underway, I started to feel more and more comfortable. Critsey gave me directions and showed me all the poses. She helped me feel confident and sexy. She even played some of my favorite music to help me relax and get into the mood for the session.
When the photoshoot was over, I was amazed at how much fun I had had. Critsey showed me some of the photos on the back of her camera, and I was blown away by how beautiful they looked. I had envisioned I would need loads of retouching and seeing the images on her camera I was pleasantly surprised at how amazing they looked. I mean I should not have been surprised because I knew how amazing Critsey’s work is. I just kept thinking to myself “I won’t look like those women”. But hot damn! I did!
After the shoot, Critsey shared her process to choose the images by viewing a private gallery. I loved that I did not feel rushed or pushed to buy extras. Her process was easy and enjoyable. I did end up upgrading my album size after seeing the sizes in person. I would recommend choosing a bigger size than you think you will want because, in the end, you will want the bigger album. Trust me, ladies. Get the bigger album. You will love it.
The album design process was also easy. All I had to do was choose my favorite photos and Critsey did a beautiful layout for my book that I got to approve before it went to print. I only had one little change and that was it. I was really happy with how fast and easy the whole process took. The only critique that I had was I am not that techie and had a hard time logging in to look at the book design but Critsey was so gracious with her time and walked me through the whole log-in.
A few weeks later, I received my finished photo album in the mail. It was a beautiful leather-bound book with semi-glossy firm pages. I couldn’t wait to flip through the pages and relive my photoshoot experience. The photos were absolutely stunning – better than I could have ever imagined. I was so proud of myself for stepping out of my comfort zone and doing something so daring and empowering.
Overall, my experience getting boudoir photos taken for the first time was amazing. Critsey and her hair and makeup artist were professional, and skilled, and made me feel comfortable and confident throughout the entire process. And the finished product – the photo album – was just breathtaking. I would definitely do it again! And actually, I already told my husband I really want to do the Paris shoot with Critsey for my birthday next year. I cannot think of anything else I would love more.
