5 Tips to Help Build Confidence for Your Boudoir Photoshoot

Hello Gorgeous! So, you want to do a boudoir photoshoot but you’re feeling nervous and unsure of yourself. First of all, let me tell you that every woman I’ve worked with has felt the same way before their photoshoot. But trust me, it’s totally worth it and you’ll feel amazing after! Here are some tips to help you build confidence for your boudoir photo shoot:

Focus on a positive mindset

Be kind to yourself and try not to fixate on your perceived flaws. Remember, everyone has something about themselves they don’t like, but your body is sexy just the way it is. Trust me to guide you through your photo shoot and know that the photos will turn out beautifully.

Wear clothes that make you feel confident

You don’t have to wear super revealing lingerie if that doesn’t make you feel comfortable. Choose items that you feel good about and that give you a boost of confidence. If you’re self-conscious about a certain body part, look for clothes that flatter that area, and be sure to communicate with me about the parts of your body you love and don’t love so much.

Look at poses you feel comfortable with

I will show you all the poses to do, but it might be helpful to have a cheat sheet of poses you feel comfortable with to share with me so I know your level of modesty. You can even bring a digital lookbook with you to your photo shoot to show me if you would like. I do not copy poses but it will give me an idea of what you feel comfortable with.

Beauty prep pre-session

Prep beforehand for professional hair and makeup on the day of your shoot. This means getting your hair touched up or trimmed before your shoot. Exfoliating your face and hydrating so your skin looks glowy. My professional hair and makeup artist will know how to make you look your best for the camera. Looking and feeling gorgeous on your shoot day can do wonders for your confidence!

Having trust in your photographer

Trust is crucial for a successful boudoir photoshoot, and it’s important to know I will do everything to make you feel comfortable and safe. I will guide you through the process, show you how to pose, make sure your outfits and hair are on point, and be your personal cheerleader. You can trust I will not make you do any poses you do not wish to. You will have complete control over how you look and feel.

Remember, gaining confidence for your boudoir photoshoot is just the first step. Once you see the final images, you might find that the photo shoot has changed you in other ways – boosting your positivity, helping you feel comfortable in your own skin, and making you feel beautiful and exuberant.
