ANNOUNCING THE NEW YORK CITY BOUDOIR SHOOT OUT AND WORKSHOP – HOSTED BY CRITSEY ROWE
On Sunday, June 24th, 2012
The Shoot Out will take place at a really amazing studio location in Chelsea that includes several gorgeous settings. We will supply 3-4 models with professional hair and makeup. The studio has high ceilings with northern light and high windows. In addition to shooting natural light, we will also do off-camera lighting setups to help give you a big variety for your portfolio.
In the evening of June 23rd and June 24th, we will be hanging out with any attendees that want to meet up and talk about the business of boudoir. (this is only open for attendees signed up for the shootout)
The Shoot-Out is for:
Semi to Pro photographers wanting to enhance their boudoir portfolio or even get started in the art of boudoir.
Established boudoir photographers that want to come and play and meet other talented boudoir shooters.
We will be helping with posing and lighting techniques but you are welcome to be creative and do your own thing. Our main objective is to give you space, the models, and the time to shoot to create stunning images you can use on your website and blog.
A little about who’s teaching the workshop:
Critsey Rowe of Couture Boudoir® has been at the forefront of the growing Boudoir Photography genre for many years. She is the best-selling author of “Boudoir Photography- The Complete Guide To Shooting Intimate Portraits”, Available on Amazon and in bookstores. Critsey teaches boudoir workshops and seminars across the nation and abroad. She has been a guest speaker about her Couture Boudoir® brand on The Wedding Planning Audiocast on iTunes, Convention speaker for DWF at Imaging USA, Convention speaker for WPPI’s Road Trip, speaker for Pictage Users Group, and Critsey was recently featured in Popular Photography Magazine about her Couture Boudoir brand.
Critsey’s work has been published in many popular magazines, including Grace Ormonde Wedding Style, Today’s Bride, Destination Weddings and Honeymoons, You and Your Wedding London, The Bride’s Book, Weddings Unveiled, The Knot, Carolina Bride and Queen City Weddings.
She has been a featured photographer on Platinum Weddings and several times on My Fair Wedding with David Tutera on the WE Channel.
We will also be hanging out the night of the workshop to talk about the business side of boudoir. Mentoring at its best!
The cost is $1899
We are selling three-hour time slots. The time slots are 10am-1pm and 2pm-5pm (max 6 photographers per time slot. We will have three models for the day. The location is huge and has many sets so we will be able to do a lot of variety.)
When signing up please specify the time slot you want. We have a limited number of spaces available so book today!
Images may be used for your online/print portfolios but may not be used to promote your own shootout or workshop. 100% of the shoot-out fee is due upon registration and is non-refundable. If the shoot-out for any reason is canceled or postponed 100% of your payment will be returned to you.
Omg! Omg! I want to do this. If my husband will let me I will soooo be there in a heartbeat. I am just starting out in boudoir even though I have been a children\’s and babies photographer for some years now. Can I still come if I do not have experience in boudoir?

The location is in Chelsea so anywhere close by will work for you. ; ) I can let you know closer to the date where I will be staying if that is helpful.

Wow – this is a great space! I hope I can join you but I can\’t make any definite plans to be in NY yet at that time… I\’ll have to play it by ear.
I wanted to make a hotel suggestion to you all, though. I stayed in Chelsea this past January at the Desmond Tutu center. Awesome, beautiful place and very reasonable.
