As I sit here reflecting on International Women’s Day, I feel so much gratitude for the incredible women I’ve had the privilege to meet and photograph through my boudoir work. Women from all walks of life, each with their own stories, struggles, and victories. This day is so much more than a date on the calendar; it’s a celebration of everything that makes women powerful, resilient, and absolutely extraordinary.
I wanted to take a moment to celebrate you. Yes, YOU—the one reading this. Whether you’re a mom, a professional, a dreamer, a doer, or all of the above, you are worthy of being honored.

The Beauty of Women’s Strength
One of the things I’ve learned over the years is that women are truly unstoppable. We juggle careers, families, friendships, self-care (or at least we try!), and so much more. It’s easy to get caught up in all the roles we play and forget to celebrate ourselves for the incredible humans we are.
I see this strength every time I photograph a woman. Boudoir sessions are such a unique opportunity to witness the resilience that women carry. Some women walk into my studio full of confidence, ready to take on the world. Others come in a bit nervous, unsure if they’re “ready” for something so bold and empowering. But here’s the magic: by the time we’re done, I always see the same transformation.
That quiet strength, that fire inside—it comes out in every photo. Women leave my studio standing taller, smiling brighter, and realizing just how powerful they really are.
Boudoir as a Celebration of Womanhood
International Women’s Day is all about celebrating the achievements and contributions of women, but I think it’s also about celebrating the beauty of womanhood itself. Boudoir photography, for me, is such a special way to do that.
It’s not about looking a certain way or meeting someone else’s standards of beauty. It’s about embracing your unique self—every curve, every scar, every feature that makes you who you are. I often tell my clients, “You don’t need to change a single thing about yourself to be worthy of this experience.”
Boudoir photography allows you to step into your power and reconnect with your confidence. And trust me, there’s nothing more beautiful than a woman who feels comfortable in her own skin.

Why Celebrating Yourself is Important
Let’s be honest—how often do we, as women, take time to celebrate ourselves? Most of the time, we’re focused on taking care of others or working toward the next big goal. But here’s the thing: self-celebration isn’t selfish. In fact, it’s necessary.
When we pause to honor ourselves, we’re reminded of our worth. We’re reminded that we are more than the roles we play. We’re human beings with dreams, desires, and incredible potential.
That’s one of the reasons I’m so passionate about boudoir photography. It’s an experience that’s 100% about YOU. It’s a chance to celebrate your body, your journey, and your unique beauty.
Women Supporting Women
One of the best things about International Women’s Day is the focus on women supporting women. I’ve been lucky enough to witness this kind of support firsthand in my work.
Boudoir photography is such a personal and vulnerable experience, but I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had clients tell me they were encouraged by a friend, sister, or co-worker who had already done a session. That kind of encouragement, that “you can do this” energy—it’s contagious.
And it doesn’t stop there. I’ve had clients come back and tell me how their photos inspired conversations about body positivity with their daughters or how they shared their experience with friends who needed a little extra confidence boost. It’s a ripple effect of empowerment, and it’s one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
Celebrating YOU This International Women’s Day
So, how are you celebrating yourself this International Women’s Day? Maybe it’s taking a moment to reflect on everything you’ve accomplished. Maybe it’s scheduling some well-deserved “me time.” Or maybe it’s finally saying yes to something you’ve been putting off, like booking that boudoir session you’ve been thinking about.
If you’ve ever considered a boudoir shoot but felt hesitant, let me tell you: you are ready. You don’t need to lose weight, you don’t need to be in a certain phase of life, and you definitely don’t need anyone’s permission to celebrate yourself.
This experience is about stepping into your power and embracing the beauty that’s already within you. It’s about saying, “I am worthy. I am enough. I am beautiful.”

A Message to All Women
To every woman reading this: you are incredible. You are deserving of love, respect, and celebration—not just today, but every single day.
International Women’s Day is a reminder of how far we’ve come and how much further we can go when we support and uplift each other. It’s a day to honor the women who came before us and to inspire the women who will come after us.
And most importantly, it’s a day to celebrate YOU.
Whether you’re already planning something special for this day or just taking a moment to breathe and reflect, I hope you know how amazing you are. And if you ever want to celebrate yourself in a way that’s bold, empowering, and just a little bit magical, I’m here for you.
Let’s celebrate the strength, beauty, and resilience of women today and every day. Because we deserve it.
